Workshop Information

Class dates for 2012 are July 15 - 21, 2012

9:00 am – Daily (Monday through Friday).

Participants gather by the pond at The Barn Studio of Art with their painting materials and French easels. Each day a demonstration by one of the instructors will be given either at The Barn Studio pond or on location along the Maurice River. This will be followed by individual working time on location.

Daily locations will be determined by weather and working conditions. We will be working “en plein air” most of the time. Be prepared!

9:00 am - Meet on location.

9:30 am - Stan Sperlak demo in pastel.

Tuesday, July 17

9:00 am - Meet on location.

9:30 am - Oil painting demo at Burcham Farm with Patrick Connors.

Evening demo with Ruth Formica.

Wednesday, July 18

9:00 am - Meet on location.

9:30 am - Pastel and Water Media demo with Jill Rupinski at Vanaman Farm.

6:30 pm - Evening Cruise on the Maurice River with Pat Witt

Thursday, July 19

9:00 am - Meet on location.

9:30 am - Gouache demo with Larry Francis, Bivalve.

Friday, July 20

9:00 am - Meet on location.

Water color demo with Bill Ternay, individual working time and get ready for the show.

The week will culminate in an exhibition of works created during the workshop complete with “Third Friday Opening” on Friday evening at a Phantom Gallery TBA. This mystery location tradition is sure to keep you guessing… almost until the very moment you arrive!

Saturday, July 21

9:30–11:30 am - Final Critique
